Our Story

Kevin and Natasha McDonald started the business back in 2011 providing Medical Aesthetic treatments at an affordable price. The medical aesthetics business grew very quickly and in 2015 we moved into a premises in the City Centre. In 2016 we moved to a bigger premises in The Grange Clinic, Dublin 13 where we started offering affordable hair transplant surgery.

Tir na nOg Clinic is 100% Irish owned and run. It is run by an Irish surgeon therefore all treatments offered are purely on a medical basis, if a person is not suitable for a transplant then Dr Kevin will say this. Dr Kevin takes pride in his work and is quite the perfectionist, but realistic at the same time. He offers a very natural look that fits in with the patients stage of life.

Dr. Kevin McDonald
Co-Founder / Surgeon

Dr. Kevin McDonald MB MRCS MCh MSc is a trained surgeon, graduating from NUI Galway in 1999. He completed basic surgical training in the UK before returning to Ireland to work in cardiothoracic surgery in 2007.

Dr McDonald has trained in hair transplant surgery in London, Georgia , Turkey and Dublin. He focuses on “natural” hairlines  which have a shape consistent with the patient's age and which should have the randomness, irregularity and angulation of real hair, rather than a “military style” look ( a product of the production line). Kevin initially offered FUT strip surgery before concentrating on FUE surgery. He realises that patient characteristics vary in this field from skin thickness, to density of the donor, to requirements in the recipient area and that the surgeon must adapt to these differences  using a range of different devices for extraction and placement of grafts.
